A performance created for the 2008 All Souls Procession Festival in Tucson, Arizona. This procession draws together over 20,000 people to publicly mourn, celebrate and remember the dead.

Final Flight was choreographed based on flight patterns of birds and performed as part of the finale of the procession. It encompassed eight performers with human-powered kinetic sculptures lit on fire. I hoped to create something that was physically moving and visually captivating while remaining cathartic. As a native Tucsonan, I had participated in the procession for many years and it was a honor to create a piece for the finale.
